The most harmful to the working performance and life of 4stroke 6cylinder diesel engine is the impurity particles and pollution, which are the first killer to the engine. The filter is the only way to avoid impurity particles and pollution. With the development of engine technology, the requirement of filter is higher and higher.
There are air filters, oil filters, fuel filters and cooling water filters in 4stroke electric starting diesel engine. They are used to filter impurities in engine intake system, lubrication system, combustion system and cooling water system respectively.
The air filter is located in the front of the engine intake system. It is composed of one or several filter components for clean air. The main function of the air filter is to filter out the harmful impurities in the air before the air enters the high speed 6cylinder diesel engine, so as to reduce the early wear of the cylinder, piston, piston ring, valve and valve seat.
The oil filter is located in the engine lubrication system. Its upstream is the oil pump and its downstream is the engine parts that need to be lubricated. The function of the oil filter is to filter out the harmful impurities in the oil.
The function of the fuel filter is to filter out the harmful particles and water in the fuel gas system of the powerful 12cylinder diesel engine to protect the nozzle of the diesel fuel injection pump, the cylinder liner and the piston ring of the combustion cylinder from abrasion and blockage.
The cooling water filter is located behind the cooling water pump and in front of the cooling water channel. Corrosion will occur when the metal contacts with water at high temperature. Therefore, the filter of cooling water filter can ensure the smooth circulation channel of cooling water. When the high speed 6cylinder diesel engine generator is working, the smooth water circulation channel is the only reason to ensure the temperature stability of the diesel engine block. The matching size of the internal combustion cylinder of diesel engine is very precise, so it may cause the cylinder failure if the temperature rises and the piston heat rises. Regular replacement of qualified filter can ensure stable temperature of diesel engine.
The filter is originally used to filter the harmful impurities in various substances, so that the engine can work normally under various working conditions and reach the specified service life. However, fake and inferior filters not only cannot achieve the above functions, but also bring various hazards to the engine. The common hazards are as follows:
l Because the filter paper made of low-cost filter paper has large pore size, poor uniformity and low filtration efficiency, it cannot effectively filter out the harmful impurities in the materials, resulting in engine scuffing.
l The use of low-quality adhesive will cause short circuit at the bonding part of filter element. A large number of harmful impurities into the engine will reduce the life of the 4stroke turbocharger diesel engine.
l Replace oil resistant rubber parts with ordinary rubber parts. In the process of use, the internal short circuit of the filter caused by the sealing failure of the internal seal will make part of the oil or air containing impurities enter the engine directly, resulting in early wear of the engine.
l The material strength of oil filter center tube is not enough. In the process of use, the blockage of the oil circuit caused by the central tube suction shrinkage or the damaged filter element will cause insufficient lubrication of the engine.
l The metal parts such as the end cover, central pipe and shell of filter element, which are not treated with anti-rust treatment, will lead to metal corrosion and produce impurities, which makes the filter become a source of pollution.
