After starting the diesel engine and adding cooling water, the hot cylinder sleeve, cylinder head and other important parts will be cracked or deformed due to sudden cold. Similarly, if 100 ℃ boiled water is suddenly added to the cold body, the cylinder head and cylinder body will be cracked. The correct way is to add cooling water before starting powerful 4 stroke diesel generator set, add warm water of about 60 ℃ into the diesel engine for preheating, and then start it.
Do not put the pressure reducing handle in the‘working’position when or after starting the diesel engine. Put the throttle handle in the position before starting the diesel engine. The harm of not operating according to this regulation is that when starting KPV1200 12 cylinder diesel generator set, if the throttle is increased first, fuel will be wasted. The excess diesel oil will wash the cylinder wall, worsen the lubrication between the piston, piston ring and cylinder sleeve, and aggravate the wear, and the surplus oil flowing into the oil pan will dilute the oil and reduce the lubrication effect, resulting in the incomplete combustion of too much diesel oil in the cylinder and the formation of carbon deposition. The correct way is to preheat the engine, then supply oil by increasing the throttle, and later start it.

The temperature in winter and summer is different, so the used oil materials are also different. In the high temperature area in summer, if the lubricating oil (such as 40, 50, 60, etc.) with good high temperature resistance index is not replaced, the anti-oxidation stability of the lubricating oil will be deteriorated, which will aggravate its thermal decomposition, oxidation and polymerization, and it is easy to deteriorate. At the same time, the viscosity of lubricating oil will decrease with the increase of temperature, which is easy to cause excessive consumption of lubricating oil. In winter, if the lubricating oil with low viscosity and diesel oil with low freezing point are not replaced in time, the internal resistance of KPV1200 4 stroke diesel generator set is large, so it is difficult to start. At the same time, it will accelerate the wear of all moving parts.
In order to prevent fire, it is necessary to bake the oil pan of the diesel engine at a certain distance (30cm away) with slow fire or coal fire and slowly rotate the oil shaft so that the oil can be evenly heated and all parts can be lubricated. If the ignition starting is at the intake pipe of disel engine, the ash and hard sundries generated by material combustion will be sucked into the cylinder, which will cause the intake and exhaust valves not closed tightly and accelerate the cylinder wear.
The heating elements of the flame preheater are all electric heating wires, which consume a lot of electricity and heat. When used for a long time, the battery can be damaged due to the sharp discharge, and the electric heating wires can also be burned out. Therefore, the time for each continuous use of the glow plug shall not exceed one minute, and the time for each continuous use of the flame preheater shall preferably be controlled within twenty seconds.
Adding engine oil into the cylinder can play the roles of sealing, pressure boost and temperature increasing, which is convenient for the cold start of the diesel engine. However, the engine oil can not burn completely, which is easy to produce carbon deposition, weakening the elasticity of the piston ring and reducing the sealing performance of the cylinder. In addition, it will accelerate the wear of the cylinder sleeve, resulting in the decrease of the power of KPV1200 4 stroke diesel generator set, making it more difficult to start, so the engine oil can not be directly added to the cylinder.
The engine on the diesel engine works under the condition of low voltage and large current, which will damage the battery if it is used for a long time. The continuous start-up time shall not exceed 5 seconds. If the start-up fails, the start-up shall be repeated after 15 seconds.
After the cold start of KPV1200 4 stroke diesel generator set, the engine oil is with high viscosity and high flow resistance in a cold car state, which makes the time lag for the engine oil into the friction pair, and all parts of the diesel engine are not fully lubricated, resulting in poor lubrication and damage of the gears and bearings of the diesel engine. At the same time, it increases the wear of the cylinder and the bearing bush, and even the bearing bush burning and axle hugging will occur in serious cases.
Therefore, before starting high speed 12 cylinder diesel generator set, we should check whether all switches and corresponding conditions of the set are ready, and start the set only when the conditions are feasible.
